Lafayette‘s Dawson School names new associate head of school

Lafayette‘s Dawson School announced two changes to its management team Tuesday.

Dawson Head of School George P. Moore named Brad Davies as the new associate head of school and director of K-8 and promoted Director of Admissions Scott Schneider to the director of admissions and tuition assistance.

Davies comes to Dawson from Evergreen Country Day School in Evergreen, where he has served as the head of school since 2015, according to a Dawson news release. Davies will begin at Dawson in July. He is replacing the school‘s current associate head of school and director of K-8 Heather Mock, who is starting her own independent primary school in Denver.

Moore said in the news release that Davies was selected after an extensive search for candidates from all over the world.

“This position is central to the success of Dawson‘s educational program and Brad‘s extensive experience as an educator combined with his drive and gift for building relationships make him the perfect fit for our growing community,” Moore said.
